On September 24, 2014, the seminar “Cooperation in the field of bioenergy Ukraine – Netherlands” was held as part of the Tenth International Conference “Energy from Biomass”. The aim of the seminar was the development of environmentally friendly, efficient bioenergy in Ukraine, the development of joint projects.

Ukraine has faced serious energy problems, and biomass as a fuel can make a significant contribution to the production of heat and electricity. Dutch companies have extensive experience in researching and implementing various bioenergy technologies: anaerobic digestion, direct burning, co-burning, generating energy from waste, producing biofuels and developing a bio-oriented economy. The seminar was devoted to exploring the possibilities of cooperation for the development of joint projects in the field of bioenergy.
