The FORBIO InfoDay and Capacity Building Event “Sustainable agro biomass energy use – additional income to agrarians” was attended by about 50 participants, among them: representatives of agrarian companies, farmers, representatives of scientific institutes of agrarian and technical direction, as well as representatives of business and consulting.
The seminar was opened by the member of the Auditing Committee of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine – Tetyana Zhelezna, who spoke about the current state and prospects of bioenergy development in Ukraine and the agrarian biomass potential and prospects.
During the Info Day, the participants were able to learn more about agriculture biomass briquetting in Ukraine, the possibilities of corn for grain harvesting for energy use, the prospects for the biofuel market creation in Ukraine, and about biogas energy sector.
Also, in the framework of the discussion “Energy Culture from Growing to Use” were disscused issues of choosing an energy culture for cultivation; purchase of planting material; features of growing energy crops; collection and storage of biomass energy crops; energy use of biomass energy
