The production of briquettes from vineyard prunings and straw is planned to be organized in Bolhrad with the involvement of private businesses. The need for the biomass briquettes is more than 2000 tons per year (the productivity of the briquetting equipment is 500 kg/h taking into account of an accepted routine of work). Grapevine prunings biomass, which is accumulated in large piles near vineyards and burned in outdoor fires at the present practice, is the main feedstock for briquettes production. The vineyards located in 10 km radius from the briquettes production site will be used to provide the briquetting line with the annual required volume of 3530 t of grapevine pruning feedstock. Straw is considered as the additional feedstock and for production of 2000 t of briquettes it is necessary 2250 t of straw.
