The proposed Project includes capturing LFG and combusting it in the flare and further utilization for combined electricity and heat production utilization in order to avoid emissions of methane being released into the atmosphere. The estimated capacity of LFG power engines which can be commissioned is 0.7 MW for the Primorsky landfill and 1.5 MW for the Ordzhonikidze landfill. The decision to invest in LFG to Energy (“LFGTE”) modules and choice of the actual capacity will be made on the basis of an economic review, possibility to connect to the public grid, heat consumers availability and whether a Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) can be obtained.
