Objective: Installation of the LFG collection wells, gas treatment system and heaters at a landfill facility in Ukraine based on LFG
Project description:
Project includes an installation of infrared heaters at a landfill facility in the Ukraine based on LFG.
Project tasks:
- Task 1 provided training for the Ukrainian team members on landfill gas operations and to conduct site visits to operating landfill gas projects in the U.S.
- Task 2 was to identify candidate landfills within the Ukraine at which a LFG powered infrared heater project would be feasible and to conduct the project negotiations.
- Task 3 was the installation of the LFG collection wells, gas treatment system and heaters.
- Task 4 was to present the project outcomes domestically and internationally.
Project activities:
- Landfill investigation, LFG model and feasibility study;
- Design and installation of gas collection and treatment system on Khmelnitskiy landfill;
- Installation of infrared heaters for repair shop heating on Khmelnitskiy landfill;
- Measurements and monitoring of gas collection and utilization system;
- Dissemination of information about the project by means of international conference, seminars, round tables, training courses.
